So this morning, my sleep was rudely interrupted by a telemarketer claiming that I’ve become eligible for some sweepstakes involving cash, cars, and a trip somewhere. Oh yes, and I would also receive a free diamond watch, as mentioned often within the call. Rather than make them aware of how pissed off I was they woke me, I decided to express my rage through a much more subtle process. And at the same time, steal something from them they can’t get back - time.
Of course, I find it much more entertaining to record the conversation and share it with the world. So, here it is…
Recording One (5:44) Meet Stuart
Recording Two (2:10) Company Info
Final Recording (6:07) Cancel my Order
The last one is probably the only one worth listening to (if even that, I waste your time as well).
Summit Reader Services, they claim to be located in Utah. HAH, more like Canada after further investigation. So how about it, care to share your experience? I apologize for the sound quality, wasn’t exactly expecting the call. They want $3.99 every week for 5 years? Wow. That’s equals out to around $1,035. No thanks.
UPDATE 12-03-08:

Feel free to express any emotion you may have towards this company to “David Keith” at “jobs@telesolutionsintl.com”. An entertaining article written by a former employee here. Also, the script they used at the time of this writing can be found here.
UPDATE:1-1-09
After receiving much feedback, I couldn’t help but notice that one person had the complete OPPOSITE to say. And then again, another post. So, I couldn’t help but follow their trail and find out exactly who this “happy customer!” really was. Click here to read their very helpful and informing comments. Is it just me, or does this “happy customer” know way too much about how things are supposedly ran there? 5 mins later, a confirmed kill. Their IP traces back to (take a guess)…CANADA! Further tracing brings them as close as within 50 miles of the company’s location. Also, their website is registered with incredibly FALSE INFORMATION. They’ve been firing back at me with comments such as “it seems you pick and choose which responses to post and which ones to delete… No offense, but that seems like a scam to me“. I know you are, but what am I kind of attitude here?
UPDATE:3-22-09
I’m told that as of January ‘09, this very scamming company has now changed their calling to “BPS - Best Publication Services”. Thanks for the update Ken!
lol. the last one is hilarious.
Yes, she began to become a little pushy at that point.
Thanks a lot for posting this. I was an idiot and said ‘yes’ to everything and now they have my visa and everything. What do you suggest I do now to cancel? None of their numbers work. Thanks
204-982-0095. its a bull shit i work there and i know its a scam but any ways i ma working there until i get a nice decent job. And they are not gonna send you anything after you sign up. so be aware
You’re unable to cancel, you have to pauy for a full 60 months, or whatever they promised you that the “price would not go up.” Sorry about that.
Hi, do you happen to have the scamming company’s address? Any information would help, I need to report it all to my credit card company. Thank you very much.

Hi Din,
From what I understand, there’s some difficulty fighting back at them because of Canadian boundaries. Hopefully this doesn’t affect your chances of getting your money back. Good luck.
Hi everyone,
I had same experience as Din. So what i did right away is I just called to the bank and asked suggestion. He (the personal banker)said it’s needed to wait for the charges they are going to ask me then possibly is to close my account which I gave it to them. I hope it works for you too, Din. Thanks alot for this website. NIce meeting you all and sharing your experiences..It’s really nice of you who posted this site.
k.cancel it in 10 days as soon as you get your promotion package..you can call in and cancel with that number butyou have 10 days. also there is a contract ..they ask you..if you understand and agree…”we ask that you do not cancel” they just abuse english so people with less ability fall for it.. and yes they are canadians from winnipeg manitoba canada the company is telesolutions
204-982-0095 winnipeg manitoba canada r2v 126 i found that off a few sites and put 2 and 2 together lets just say,,,haha when they wonder why people call all of a sudden they might be sorry for using such harsh tactics….i read alot of the people who do the actual information taking the “supervisors” are mostly criminals or drug addicts..so they have no or little emotion of what the outcome of this company does to people..who really dont want it and think its free for a trial offer…its almost like some altered form of rape!
Thank you anonymous (baring only the name of the company as yours) for your help. The information you’ve provided will help many find out exactly where their money has vanished off to. I’ve updated this post with even more detailed information now.
I just got a call from this people. As you know, you first speak to one person and then they transfer you to their “supervisor” for further details. I told the telemarketer about 3 times that I was NOT interested in anything that will charge my credit card, her response? She will not ask for any credit card details, which makes you think that whatever it is, it’s free right? (but their “supervisor” will eventually ask for credit card details because you have already agreed to their “contract”) what a tactic…
As I was telling the lady, once again, that I was not interested, she asks if I had the contest number and she gave it to me, so this was their way of saying that I agreed to whatever it was. Once again I started saying I didn’t want anything to do with them, but she transferred me without saying a word and as I was finishing what I was saying, the “supervisor” answers. I stated that I was saying I wasn’t interested, and he started arguing telling me, “So you agree to something but when it comes to pay what you’ve agreed to you don’t want to pay right?”
This person got so rude that it brought me to tears, I asked what their company name was because this person was speaking so fast that I didn’t even hear it (the fact that I had my 3 year old screaming around didn’t help either, and I did tell them that) he responded by saying, “Oh yes, you’re going that way now uh!?” and he just hung up. I tried calling back but it was just a busy tone so I gave up and I found this… they’re pretty pushy and rude, it really made me upset. I’m just glad that I didn’t share any details, which I wasn’t going to to begin with anyways.
I too recieved a call from company I let the rep talk and went along with this absolutely free offer of a diamond watch and 3 magazine subscriptions for 60 months just for participating in the survey. ( I knew this would not be free as stated) then he needed to transfer me to a supervisor to verify that he was doing his job. the supervisor than asks you for your credit card info. I told him I do not give my credit card info over the phone and he than stated let me give you my address
138 east 12300rd south stree drapper ut 84020. Bull both of these men had canadian acents. I have been to canada many times as well as utah …I told him I googled them and the response I am getting is negative so no sale. call disconnected….4.99 a week for a magazine for 60 months …that’s 1200 I could have bought a “diamond watch a a pawn shop for 500.00….scam scam scam
I have received the same call this morning. It scared me. Luckily, I found this information from your website and knew what it was anyhow. Thanks God I haven`t given my credit card number to them. But they get a lot of information of me. My account should be safe, won`t it? Thanks again for your informations.
Got a call from them at about seven in the morning, sounded like a cartoon character. It makes me sad that we live in a world where someone says “You may have won a great prize!” and the first thing I think is scam. I listened for about ten minutes and said that they were welcome to send me an information package but I would not accept any fees or charges until I had a chance to go over some documents. After a supervisor took over the call he proceeded to ask eventually…
SCAM: “Well since you’re uncomfortable using your credit visa/master/discover card account we can use an online savings/checking account, would you prefer that?” to which I responded…
ME: “I do not wish to pay or be charged anything until I have had a chance to review your business.”
SCAM: “It seems that you have some reservations, they will be put to rest, I promise you, when you receive your membership package, now which account do you prefer to-”
ME: “No, I have already said I do not want to pay or be charged-”
SCAM: “If-if you’ll just let me interrupt you for a moment.”
ME: “Yes?”
SCAM: “You seem to be having some second thoughts, I can assure you should the magazines we have selected not meet your approval we-”
ME: “Ok no, you’re not getting it, I was willing to look over your stuff-”
SCAM: “You seem uncomfortable, there is no reason for-”
ME: “Alright, seriously, the more aggressive you get the more the little voice tells me to hang up, you’re pushing too hard.”
SCAM: “I’m not being aggressive sir, that’s business, you understand right?”
ME: “Alright, I’ve got your group up on google here, you understand that right?”
SCAM: “Sir there’s no need to be-”
ME: “Uh- yeah, considering the first three results have the word scam in the title-”
SCAM: “That’s not correct, you must have the wrong business-”
ME: “No- it’s you, your address, your full company name-”
SCAM: “You’re wrong.”
ME: “I’m just wrong? Are you five or something?”

Hi Jean,
they hide their true company name and address decently, but fail on hiding their accent.
Vividgreen,
if any charge are made, it should help knowing the company info is posted. Best of luck.
Festus,
haha, very similar to the one I had to deal with. I find it even more amusing when they actually deny evidence that’s literally right in front of your face on your monitor.
hi i have received a phone call to about wining a $20,000 sweepstakes, a ford mustang, and a trip to austrailia or africa and magazine subscription. and of course i went along with it thinking nothing of it, and they have my phone #, credit card #, and social security #. what can i do i need help i dont want anyone to be using my information at all.
mkm,
some information that you may need in case of fraud can be found within the post. Such as the company’s name and address. Good luck to you!
okay lol i was another dumb ass that said yeah and gave my info I saw this and I then called the number you have up there another number they gave me and another number and actually got them. (Their actual Number to that customer service 1-888-446-4405) but i cancelled everything and called again to make sure….. but do u have any advice for me cuz they have like all my info now?
Chris,
your best bet up to this point would probably be to examine your next bank statements a little more closely and well…cross your fingers. Call in any unauthorized withdraws. Then again, no one has responded on as to whether or not they’ve been able to successfully cancel their subscription. If your cancellation is a success, please comment back.
Once I verify the (1-888-446-4405) number, I’ll be updating the company info portion of this post. Thanks for sharing your experience and possibly an updated number.
Summit Reader Services are now called BPS Best Publication Services since january 2009 so if u get a call from them tell them to screw themselves
Thanks for the update Ken, I’ll be updating this post.
I’m a college student and they JUST did the same thing to me. There have been quite a few scammers calling my cell phone and asking for credit card info over the phone.
I did not give them my personal information besides my name and my birthdate, but they were extremely pushy and rude. I was “google-ing” the company as they were asking me questions and the first three things that popped up were SCAM SCAM SCAM. So I hung up when the “supervisor” asked for the expiration date on my card. They repeatedly called me back and harassed me. The supervisor yelled at me and told me to “google McDonalds and see how many scams you get from that” and said that he didn’t appreciate me calling him a scammer. Uh, yeah right. I mean if the shoe fits…
But I pretty much called his bluff and told him I was aware that this was a scam and asked him to stop calling me. They told me they were located in Utah, but the 573 area code is actually from Missouri, and then when they called back it was from an 866 number.
Jourdyn,
thanks for taking the time to share your experience with us. Rude and pushy, the usual from them. Did they refer to themselves as Summit Reader Services or Best Publication Services?
This is so funny. About a month ago 2 empoyees from BPS got my number and thought it would be funny to call me while they were drunk. They told me that i’ve won a contest blah blah blah. But they were drunk and laughing, talk about the dirty mags that i can get. Like “Chocolate Thunder” and “Dirty Asian Girls” and much much more. Now the funny part is that they used their works dictation sheet.
“Hi. My name is Patrick River. I’m with the BPS letting you know…….
They started asking for my credit card and I hung up. I stayed on the phone for a while because it was entertianin. But i got old and i hung up.
This morning I received a phone call from the BPS. I and the voice was strangly familiar. Now i don’t know how many people work for this company, but this is the same guy. I just know it. SO I gave him all the info he wanted (not my credit card number though) like my hobbies, intersts, that i’m married, employed, age, dates on my credit card, my name on my credit card and how i feel in hot arizona. But it came to him asking for my credit card #. I never give that to anyone who calls me. NEVER GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER TO ANYONE WHO CALLS YOU. I tell the guy that I don’t give people my number over the phone. Get this, then he asks me for my SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER! Reeeaallly come on. There is no need to give that number over the phone unless the person that calls you already has it and is confirming it. Don’t give it to them, but let them confirm that they have it by them saying it to you. So i told they guy that i don’t give out any numbers over the phone. He got mad then i hung up. I was laughing because of the first conversation with this guy. He used the words ” I hate to be a bug-a-boo about this but i really need that card number.” BUg-a-boo! Who uses that in a sentence anymore? CANADIANS THATS WHO! This is a true story and written 2 min after the second call. Neato.
Bug-a-boo? Hahaha, thank you. Your experience has been entertaining.
SO I GOT THE CALL THIS MORNING TOO AND SAME STORY. AFTER 3 TIMES OF SAYING IM NOT INTERESTED THEY ASKED FOR MY ADDRESS AND MY CHECK CARD INFO. THEN TOLD ME WHAT I’D BE PAYING. AND HUNG UP. I CANT GET A WORKING PHONE NUMBER TO CALL THEM BACK ON HE SAID THERE’D BE A PHONE NUMBER ON THE BILLING STATEMENT BUT WEN I ASKED TO REPEAT THE NUMBER HE SAID NOT TO WORRY IT’D BE ON THE BILLING STATEMENT. DOES THAT NUMBER EVEN WORK? WHAT IF I TELL MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY TO DEACTIVIATE MY CHECK CARD WITH THE NUMBER I GAVE THEM?
There’s a good chance you may never see this “billing statement”, ever. Usually, if you try to cancel, your credit card company will make you aware that there isn’t anything they can do until after the transaction has been carried out.
The numbers listed here have been verified on several occasions.
They also use a different number… 352-804-5664… They tried reaching me Saturday, and then I accidentally spoke to them today. SCAM!!!
Winnipeg is quite literally the epitome of call centres for all types of services ranging in everything from sales to charitable donations, customer service, surveys, claims, credit card issuers, technical support, pharmaceuticals, etc. I myself actually had the, um… “pleasure”, if you can really call it that, of working for several of these companies before finally moving forward with a true career. The vast majority of call centres here are contracted to work on behalf of large American and global-based companies (i.e. Nintendo, Verizon, Comcast, AT&T Worldnet), so don’t be surprised if 9 out of 10 times you hear a Canadian accent on the other end of the call!
Unfortunately, I’ve never actually worked for the place that is giving you guys all of this trouble, so I can’t say much about what kind of company they are. But hey, not all of us Canadian call centre employees are bad! I just hope you guys are all able to recoup your losses from them. Shady companies f—ing suck.
First of all, as a now former employee of this company I would like to appologize to you people who have been scammed. I was dumb enough to think this was a legit business. Up until this morning, I was one of their ’slaves’ so to speak. Thank you for this website cuz I would still be there had I not stumbled across it. I don’t have the heart to scam people out of thousands of dollars that they worked so hard for. When I found out just what was going on, I went there mainly to show this website to as many people as I could. None of them left and they proceeded to tell me that this whole site was a ‘crock’. So not only do they scam, but they brainwash their employees into thinking this is legit.
Last week I got a call from these ppl, what should i do now? cancel my credit card or what? I cant believe i fell for that crap
I gave these ppl all of my info tho like ss# and everything they would need so what should i do?
I would take Bre Lenox’ advice and contact your credit card company’s fraud and dispute.
i agree with you singh
the guys were strange and made me feel really paranoid which made me know not to give them anything. crrreeeepy. don’t be fooled. as if we would just get a diamond watch for doing a survey? come on.
Katherine,
perhaps if we ask them to send the diamond watch first, then we’d be able to make some type of agreement.
Just received a call from them and it came in from Orlando Florida. I talked with her and of course the supervisor came on right away and verified magazines and then wanted my visa info. I would not give it to him and he argued with me that he’s a nice guy and I should trust him. I asked him where they got my number and he said from a generated print out from the bank. I asked where they are located and he said Draper Utah. He was getting frustrated with me and said he has already spend 11 minutes on the phone with me and I need to give him my visa info. I told him sorry I took up so much of his time and hung up. My question is how did they retrieve my cell phone number and know my name?
Debbie,
they get a hold of your name and cell through many many ways, more commonly, online surverys.
And I quote from our script.. ‘Oh don’t worry. We don’t have any personal information on you. You see, major list brokers (whoever they are) supply us with the names and phone numbers of those who carry one or more of the 4 major credit or debit cards’. Be aware that they have your address and phone numbers.not too sure what a major list broker is, but according to my former room manager, Tom, it’s a bank. Wish I knew Tom’s last name but I don’t.
Who actually got the magazines and diamond watch from the offer?
So these people have been scamming me for MONTHS now, I finally got their customer service number and had to YELL at the “supervisor” to cancel this account. They sent me magazines at first but I never was allowed to actually look through and pick which ones I actually wanted, and when I told the supervisor this he said it was “stupid” of me never to call and actually laughed at me. Is there any information as to where this place is located? This place should be reported to the BBB. They even somehow got my restricted house number… I can’t believe I fell for this…
i work for this company, I’d really just like to hear of at least one person getting the stupid magazines cause i feel like CRAP. the employees are pretty much scammed too, the people who call you probably don’t even know what they are doing.
First off, I would like to say thank you for this post! I just received a phone call from Best Publication Services based out of Utah and was promised a fancy trip or a flashy new car for purchasing 4 magazines for 4.49$ a week. A very low price i was told. (i dont think so!) So i told them i already recieve magazine subscriptions and i do not want anymore- She tells me that they would just renew the subsciption and thats all. So i ask her why i cant just go through the ppl i already have my subsciprtions with to renew them and she tells me because i have already ordered them from her! What?? umm..no i havent you crazy pushy lady!
she constantly laughed at me on the phone when i said that i would like to look her company up online, or if i wanted her to call me back so i could talk to my husband about this. She was very rude and pushy and i kept trying to use my manners and tell her no in every other way possible. But! she kept telling me that i already ordered and that i needed to pay, so i hung up and now they keep calling.
These ppl would have suckered me in, except after she gave me her information i found this site. So thank you again.
Trista,
you’re very welcome.
Just so you guys know, they are still at it, under the name Top Publication Services, Utah address and all. Got a call from them this morning. Although I didn’t give them any information, they knew a lot about me. I went ahead and cancelled my card anyway. Call me paranoid, but….
They do scam their employees. They make so many promises and fail to go through with them. False advertising when they advertise the job openings.. You name it, they do it. Nothing real about this place. Sadly, again, I fell for their crap.
I’ll guess I’ll add my little (short?) story about my dealings with these vicious telescam artists.
Telsolutions advertises all over Winnipeg offering Jobs between $10-$12-$15-$35 an hour. Figured I’d check ‘em out, I knew they were not legit, and in truth the pay was minimum wage - but I just got back from Vancouver and needed the money. The company was started by a guy, Braiden Harvey soon after he got out from prison several years ago in Winnipeg. Braiden just can not seem to stop talking about how he is the Donald Trump of Call Centers. In fact you can not spend five minutes with him, with out Braiden comparing himself to Trump.
Our interviewer, an OCD and compulsive lier case by the name of David Keith always takes in interview-ies two at a time, and apologizes saying this is a one time special case - bull, it normal procedure. Keith attempts to sell the job instead of actually giving a REAL interview, stating most people make $12-$16 an hour - more bull. Anyway employees face a 4 hour orientation on their first shift. This was basicly just a long rant by Keith about how his Dad was a big hero and a RCAF fighter pilot, tales about how he lived with his OCD and other yarns about employees winning $100,000 and such. We were given several pages of legal rights waivers and given insufficient time to read them before we signed.
Interesting none of us were ever given any tax forms, nor was any of our Social Insurance Cards checked, the excuse was “HR does not need that stuff” (According to the Manitoba and federal governments, ya - they do). There were about 10 people in orientation, Keith fired one girl on the spot for reading all the legal redtape before signing as Keith was ranting away. We were told the four hours are paid, but that was a lie, after orientation was done we learned it would not be paid till after 30 days/shifts… thats if we were lucky. That we can make a lot of commission and a 50 cent an hour sift premium - which they WILL find some way to jip you out of to make it minimum wage. Also we would need to start work 10 minutes early, unpaid and stay 15 minutes after work to make up if we did not make enough sales, also unpaid. And if you did not log into the computer fast enough, and the system recorded you as a minute late, you would lose 30 minutes on your pay cheque. Your were expected to sign up for “Advanced Training” (sounded a little like a Hubbard/Dianetics/Scientology course to me - and no more legit), in other words 30 minutes to an hour of unpaid work EVERY WEEK.
Finally the one break we did have was unpaid, and were told to get back in the call room before it was even done. So god help you if you we on a call while other went for their break. The next day the group was down to me and three other girls.
On the second day another girl quit when she realized that the first weeks pay would be withheld, two other girls also quit that same day - so it was down to just me. I did real well with both the script and the computer system, making 2-3 sales per day - above the average of 0-2… still minimum wage. The first time I read the script I realized the scam: There is no legitimate sweepstakes, just a tactic to keep you on the phone, also the “diamond” watch is dollar store quality, and no one ever gets it anyway. The con is to try to sell you four separate magazine subscriptions, and contract you in for six years. The price adds up to well over a thousand dollars for a few hundred dollars of magazines. Yet, the real scam is in forcing people to get into these payment plans - often maxing their credit cards. In most cases people see a single charge of almost $70 odd dollars being charged over and over, then cancel their cards. Since Telesolutions can’t bill their card anymore the company keeps the money and never sends the victum anything. They also have a recorded verbal contract, and therefor have the option to make more $$$ selling it off to a collection agency as a $1,000+ debt. Fine, I did not care - as long as I got paid my minimum wage… until…
I realized most of the people we called were from so called “sucker lists” form other telescammers. (Yes TSI employees that’s why we ask if they want a call about furthering their education, to re-sell the name to some other diploma mill scammers). I also learned most of the people who bought from me, were people who ALREADY been scammed by us, had their credit screwed by us and NEVER got any mags or the cheap watch. They were re-scamed with the same script again and again. Of course if any employee asked their room manager it was “obliviously another company” using the exact same script, and to get the darn sale out of ‘em. No wonder we keep changing the names, business licenses, and places we were calling from, S.R.S. Summit Reader Services - R.M.S. Reader’s Media Service - U.M.A. United Marketing Association in Los Angeles - I.M.A. the International Marketing Association - B.P.S. Best Publication Services, and now T.P.S. Top Publication Services in Draper. They change the name every few months to obstruct any investigations by the US FTC, and credit companies enforcing charge backs. There excuse is they have a new “client”, the fact is they are all the USA sub divisions of TSI. And in all that time EVERY victim got the same order number, C-208.
The call rooms are like sweat shops, where you can barely hear your calls as they blast the radio on loud speakers and Chris Sheppard, our room manager is yelling in everyone ears every five freak’en minutes. Ah, Chris - there is a two-faced contradiction - he’s been working at TSI for over 1/2 a decade and SEEMS like a nice guy at first. They treat everyone nice AT FIRST. But like all the other scammers there they show the fangs and become abusive and the first sign of any employee questioning their deception or trying to quit. Another thing that worried me is that our passwords in the system were sent in plain text, and our passwords were our COMPLETE Social Insurance Number in full! Not to mention credit cards numbers are also sent unencrypted in the closing room. (Hackers, get your win on!) They have the fastest autodialer on the planet, meaning most people have already said “hello” ten times and hung up before getting an T.S.R., Tele-Sales Rep. You are slaved to not have a few seconds to sip a drink or catch your breath. I was put on a long troth like table sitting right beside other employees, not in their cubicles or anything. Most of the time I could not hear the phone for Jack. The whole place is wired to the hilt with web cams so the General Manager, Pam, the wife of the OCD HR guy (no really she is) can maintain a big brother like control of everyone. I never really talked to her, but she makes a fool of herself with screaming fits in the hallways every-time someone tells her they want to quit.
I’ve seen people missing several hours off there pay, or even NOT getting ANY pay at all. If you don’t make a sale mid-day, they might send you home with out paying you for your work. If you quit, they take almost half of your wages off your paycheque. If you do make some commission, they just don’t give it to you - the have a dozen ways to screw you out of it. God help you if you ever tell your managers something personal, or why you are late/absent. Chris in his famous “are you kidding me files” will make ALL that public to everyone the next day, to the embarrassment of the employee who confided to him in confidence.
I was SO good at what I did that after just ONE week I was promoted to closer, I was to become one of the “supervisors” leads get transfered to for the recording of the verbal contract for debt collection reasons. It was almost unheard of to become a closer after a week. From what I understood the abuse of employees only escalated under the stern fist of the closing room’s manager - a psycho-socialo-pathic six foot+, abusive man. Who I seen hit his employees and grab their necks in a //seemingly playful// manor to everyone… except the poor employee. I also seen him steal people’s lunch and other personal property off their desks, and act like they were his in front of everyone in a less //seemingly playful// manor.
The hair that broke my back was when I was not allowed to go to the washroom. I was forced to wait over 15 minutes and still not allowed to go, after repeated requests.
THATS IT I QUIT!
Now this is where the interesting part begins… this is where Chris’ two-face turned. I was brought into the G.M.’s office along with the closing room manager for the night shift. Asked why I was quiting, I said I was tired of scamming people… … … …
$*%(@*&#!!!! $*%(@*&#!!!! $*%(@*&#!!!!
$*%(@*&#!!!! I was yelled to high heck and sworn at consistently. To both of there surprise I did not sit there and take it, I fought back. Being told that HE was the top dog and this was HIS house, I told him to just STFU. At this point I worked almost two weeks and have let to get any real pay. I told them both not to screw around with my paycheque. I was told I’d be lucky to get a paycheque, and he would mail one out IF he “felt like it”. I yelled back, letting him know I know they screw around with people’s hours, their money and withheld what ever little they did not steal off of people’s cheques for over a month. I made sure to record EVERY minute I worked, and let them know it.
I was yelled at to get the F— out of his call center and never come back. Sure loved to, I said, but I will be back if I did not get my money I was owed. Chris was gitty with excitement like a little school girl and was begging the closing room manger to let me have it. Finally the manger gave into Chris’ pissy requests and give him the opportunity to escort me out, much to his pleasure. I waved my hand to allow Chris to show me out, and was scolded not to be a Smart A–.
These scammer keep responding and posting to all reviews as customers or employees, trust me - anything good you read about this fraud company is written by the owners and managers.
I have still not been paid for my almost two weeks there. I will be taking them to the labour board it I am not paid withing the next ten days in full…
PS: This is a very common magazine subscription scam according to the US Federal Trade Commission. If you get a call from these sickos you MUST say exactly “PUT ME ON YOUR DO NOT CALL LIST”, anything else what so ever like “Take me OFF your list” will just get your number recycled! Or just give ‘em a call at 204-982-0095 or 204-982-0098 or 888-446-4405 and tick off the receptionist!

Robert,
I’ll be echo’ing this comment through several other posts, hope you don’t mind.
Nope, feel free to Spheroitical. I’ve also posted it to ripoff report, Usenet and other places.
Braiden Harvey left a message on my answering machine today, while I was working at my new Unionized job, organized by the U.F.C.W. union to protect the labour force from B.S. like his.
Surprise, my Craigslist rant and ALL of the several replys were flagged for removal by him. Turns out Telesolutions is just ONE of the “Braiden Harvey Group Of Companies”. According to everyone else who rented some of his “3leet Donald Trump” apartments (http://encompassproperties.com/aboutus.php) they were screwed by him too. Now is trying to get into the Apple iPod/iPhone Apps business, currently looking for programers.
O’ well at least Ripoff Report does not remove consumer warnings:

And if they ever do some day, it would be all but impossible to remove a Usenet post:

A blogger even decided to re-post my rant to several of his threads:

I may even publish a letter I wrote about ‘em to 2600: The Hacker Quarterly mag next issue…
Braiden, I’m not going to call you back, you still owe me for several hours worked. No, I am not going to post the TSR or closing room scripts, those are proprietary. I don’t care and I am living up to the employment contract (yes I really did read it front to back and I can post my critism as I please). Interesting no one gets enough time to read it in full, and if a employee wants a copy they need to give him $25, just to know what rights you waived.
Pay up Braiden, and we’ll part ways. I’m not interesting in posting my rants forever you know!

I filed a complaint against Top Publication Services to the FTC today. They called me last week on my cell phone and I insisted that they put me on their do not call list. I got another call today and the girl (named Hailey) refused to acknowledge my repeated demands to be placed on the “do not call” list. Totally illegal. Report these people to the FTC!
Thanks! It was a good one.
Thanks for such a good blog. This is what I looked for.
